Strategic Account Executive

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Strategic Account Executive in United States.

This role is a high-impact, enterprise sales position focused on driving net-new revenue within the public sector, specifically across state, local, and education (SLED) accounts. You will be responsible for identifying, developing, and closing complex, multi-stakeholder deals that expand adoption of enterprise identity and cybersecurity solutions. Acting as a trusted advisor to senior government and IT leaders, you will help shape long-term digital identity and security strategies. The position requires a strong blend of strategic account planning, consultative selling, and deep domain expertise in identity and access management. You will collaborate closely with internal technical teams and external partners to deliver tailored solutions that address highly regulated and mission-critical environments. This is a fast-paced, relationship-driven role designed for a sales leader who thrives on building large-scale, long-term customer value.

Accountabilities:
  • Own and drive net-new revenue growth across a defined portfolio of high-value SLED accounts.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans focused on long-term pipeline generation and expansion.
  • Engage and influence C-level executives and senior IT leaders on identity, security, and access management strategies.
  • Manage the full sales cycle, including prospecting, qualification, RFP/RFI responses, negotiation, and closing.
  • Lead complex, multi-year land-and-expand opportunities within government and education organizations.
  • Collaborate with solutions engineers, product experts, and customer success teams to deliver tailored solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including system integrators and channel partners.
  • Leverage consultative, value-based selling methodologies to position enterprise cybersecurity solutions.
  • Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline management, and reporting aligned with revenue targets.
  • Stay informed on public sector regulations, identity standards, and cybersecurity trends.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of quota-carrying enterprise sales experience in the public sector (SLED), ideally across western U.S. territories.
  • 3+ years of experience selling Identity and Access Management (IAM) or cybersecurity solutions.
  • Proven track record of closing large, complex deals within government or education environments.
  • Established network of senior-level contacts within public sector IT and security organizations.
  • Strong understanding of IAM concepts such as SSO, MFA, federation, and API security.
  • Experience working with channel partners and system integrators in enterprise sales cycles.
  • Deep familiarity with public sector procurement processes and compliance requirements.
  • Expertise in value-based selling and structured methodologies such as MEDDPICC.
  • Strong executive presence with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage long, complex sales cycles and multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% for client engagement and events.

Benefits:

  • Competitive base salary range of 139,250–160,000 USD plus commission opportunities.
  • Comprehensive healthcare coverage including medical, dental, and vision plans.
  • Retirement savings plan with employer contributions.
  • Generous paid time off and holiday schedule.
  • Flexible and collaborative work environment supporting hybrid and remote arrangements.
  • Parental leave and progressive family support policies.
  • Professional development and education reimbursement opportunities.
  • Employee resource groups and inclusive workplace culture.
  • Wellness initiatives and employee assistance programs.
  • Global volunteering and community engagement opportunities.
  • Additional perks such as commuter support (where applicable) and employee discounts.
