Parkhurst Dining is seeking an experienced Pastry Chef/Bakery Supervisor to oversee the bakery. The ideal candidate is experienced in management or supervisory role in a large scale baking and pastry operation. Job Duties
- Oversee all bakery production for campus foodservice operations. Operations include All-you-care-to-eat Dining Hall, Retail Outlets, Large Volume Catering, and more.
- Ensure quality, safety, and timeliness of all bakery items.
- Items to be produced include cookies, cakes, pies, plated desserts, specialty desserts, pizza dough, breads, etc.
- Supervise Night Cleaners to ensure that their work is being completed.
- Create new and exciting desserts to renew our menus and engage the interest of our guests.
Qualifications
- Associates Degree in Baking and Pastry Arts, or equivalent experience.
- Experience managing large scale baking/pastry operation.
- Basic computer skills.
- Experience ordering products and tracking inventory levels.
- Skilled at decorating cakes.
- Great attention to detail and creativity.
- Organization and leadership skills.
