Responsibilities
Job Summary
The Sewing Machine Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial sewing machines and related equipment to ensure smooth and efficient production operations. The role supports production by minimizing downtime, improving machine performance, and maintaining quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, set up, and adjust industrial sewing machines and equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance according to maintenance schedules.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues and carry out repairs.
- Troubleshoot machine breakdowns quickly to minimize production downtime.
- Calibrate machines to ensure proper stitch quality and production efficiency.
- Replace worn or defective parts such as needles, motors, belts, loopers, and feed mechanisms.
- Maintain maintenance records, repair logs, and spare parts usage.
- Support production teams in machine operation and basic troubleshooting.
- Ensure machines operate according to safety and quality standards.
- Participate in continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper lubrication of machines and work areas.
