This role sits at the intersection of advanced AI engineering and large-scale production systems, focused on building intelligent, agentic solutions that enhance how users interact with digital infrastructure. You will work on designing and deploying AI-driven systems that go beyond prototypes, turning cutting-edge LLM and agent frameworks into reliable, production-grade services. Operating within a remote-first and globally distributed engineering environment, you will collaborate with teams working on core internet infrastructure and identity services. The role combines deep technical ownership with architectural leadership, requiring strong system design capabilities and hands-on engineering. You will help shape how AI is embedded into critical platforms while ensuring performance, scalability, and trust. • Design and implement scalable AI-powered systems, including multi-agent architectures and advanced retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines.
• Own the end-to-end lifecycle of AI services, from model selection and development through deployment, monitoring, and continuous optimization in production environments.
• Develop high-quality backend and AI-driven services primarily in Python, while collaborating on infrastructure components in Go.
• Build and maintain production-ready systems on cloud and Kubernetes-based environments, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance.
• Establish best practices for ethical AI development, including privacy, bias mitigation, model transparency, and security standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to integrate AI capabilities into large-scale infrastructure and user-facing systems.

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong record of delivering production-grade applications.
• Deep expertise in Large Language Models (LLMs) and agent-based AI frameworks, with practical experience deploying them in real-world systems.
• Strong proficiency in Python, with additional experience or willingness to work in Go-based environments.
• Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure, DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes-based deployments.
• Experience building and maintaining scalable systems in production environments, with a focus on reliability and observability.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex AI concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong collaboration and mentoring abilities, with a proactive and ownership-driven engineering mindset.

• Competitive salary range of CAD $126,090 to $140,100 (varies based on location and experience)
