Pharmacy Technician I

Under the direct supervision of Pharmacists, the Pharmacy Technician has primary responsibilities in the unit dose dispensing, intravenous admixture, floor stock areas, procurement of medications and billing procedures. According to standard procedures, technicians assist the pharmacist in dispensing medications and maintaining appropriate patient records and charges. Pharmacy technicians also assist in orienting all new personnel to the department.

Education:

Must be at least 17 years of age

High School Diploma or equivalent OR currently enrolled in High School

Licenses, Certifications, Etc.

Registered Georgia Pharmacy Technician

Experience:

Minimum

Preferred

1 year Hospital or Retail Pharmacy experience
