About This Position
Multifamily Sales Account and Technical Support
Salary: 50k-60k, plus bonuses. Fulltime, Exempt
This role is responsible for driving revenue growth by acquiring new clients and managing existing relationships within the sustainable building industry, while also providing project coordination and support throughout the lifecycle of building program certifications. This role requires a dynamic professional with a strong mix of sales acumen, technical knowledge, and organizational skills to help clients navigate the certification, field verification, and construction coordination process.
Essential Functions
- Sales & Business Development
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through outreach, referrals, industry events, and networking.
- Drive revenue and customer retention by combining product expertise with relationship management.
- Conduct needs assessments to understand client challenges, project goals, and certification targets.
- Prepare and deliver customized proposals and sales presentations.
- Negotiate and finalize contract fees to achieve revenue goals.
- Maintain CRM records, track leads, and provide accurate sales forecasting.
Account & Client Management
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with developers, architects, contractors, and other key stakeholders.
- Provide support for assigned clients throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct regular client check-ins to ensure satisfaction and support upselling opportunities.
- Coordinate with internal teams (technical field staff, APMs, etc.) to deliver high-quality service and meet project milestones.
- Provide ongoing support for customers through education, portfolio reviews, and by creating customized deliverables.
Project Coordination & Technical Oversight
- Track invoices, project timelines, and deliverables.
- Facilitate virtual and on-site meetings with design, construction, and internal MES teams.
- Provide ad hoc field support and guidance to Assistant Project Managers (APMs) and clients.
- Collaborate with the marketing team by providing technical expertise to inform content development.

Physical Demands
- Mobility: Ability to work at a computer desk (sit or stand) for 8 hours a day. Occasional walking, standing, and moving in and out of tight or awkward spaces. Ability to navigate stairs, uneven ground, and various indoor and outdoor job sites.
- Vision & Hearing: Sufficient vision to read plans and instructions, and hearing to communicate with team members and respond to signals and warnings when on the job site.
- Standing & Travel: Ability to travel on plane, train, or car; Ability to stand for extended periods at conferences or on project sites
- Lifting: Ability to lift items for conferences / carry items on project sites (typically less than 50 lbs.)
- Work Environment
- The primary work environment is the office or a remote computer workstation.
- Occasional, typically quarterly, visits to the construction sites to perform inspections and documentation collection
- Travel to sales meetings and trainings, estimated monthly travels
Minimum Qualifications
- 2-5 Years of relevant experience (e.g., Building Science, Architecture, Construction, Business, Account Management, or Sustainability).
- 2–5 years of experience in project coordination, project management, field verification, or client-facing sales roles.
- Familiarity with or credentials from RESNET, NGBS (Home Innovation Labs), ENERGY STAR, LEED, or similar building certification programs.
- Experience with sales targets, contract negotiations, and account management.
