The Corporate Recruiter and HR Specialist is responsible for full cycle recruiting, assisting with onboarding, as well as support employee relations, training and development, and HR compliance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Recruitment and Onboarding
o Coordinate the recruitment process, including job postings, resume screening, scheduling interviews, and conducting initial interviews.
o Manage applicant logs, data, and budget related to recruiting and onboarding.
o Assist in and bring fresh ideas into the organization to make recruiting and onboarding process more efficient and optimize the new hire experience.
o Manage compliance with company hiring practices and policies and all regulations. Ensure all required steps and documents are on file through the recruiting and onboarding process.

Employee Relations:
o Employee Handbook Management and Distribution
o Support policy updates and roll outs, getting new policies or documents signed, collected and filed in a timely manner.
o Build relationships and rapport with employees
o Address employee concerns and grievances in a timely and confidential manner.
o Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR policies and procedures.

Payroll, Benefits, and administrative support:
o Entering and maintaining data in our HRIS platform as well as 3rd party systems for benefits and compliance.
o Support and assist with the company’s payroll process as needed.
o Help administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other fringe benefits.
o Assist employees with benefits-related inquiries and help facilitate enrollment processes.
o Office administrative support such as scheduling meetings, ordering supplies or meals, visitor sign in and events.

Training and Development:
o Help coordinate training sessions and workshops to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
o Collaborate with department managers to identify training needs and develop training plans.
o Maintain HR related training records, support training initiatives where needed and ensure training is completed in a timely manner and records are maintained.

HR Compliance:
o Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
o Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
o Ensure their own compliance with all required practices and policies while supporting compliance across the organization. This includes DoD required time cards, expense reports, training requirements and any other requirements.

HR Projects and Initiatives
o Participate in HR projects and initiatives aimed at improving HR processes and enhancing the employee experience.
o Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
o Develop standard operating procedures for HR processes.
o Support initiatives and projects across other areas of the business as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements
• Candidate must be Authorized US Persons Required under ITAR.
• Must be comfortable and lawfully able to work in facilities with access to firearms and munitions.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Experience working in a human resources role, preferably in a generalist capacity.
• Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and procedures.
• Experience with full cycle recruiting and onboarding.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
• Proficiency in HRIS software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively.
• Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
• ISO 9001:2015 training preferred.

Working Conditions
Work will be completed in an office environment and includes running errands as required. This position will be stationed in the Tampa office most of the time with some assignments located in our Sarasota location.
