We have an opening for a Director of Finance based in our Richmond, BC office. The Director of Finance will oversee the accounting team and all aspects of financial reporting, while managing the day‑to‑day accounting function and partnering closely with cross-functional departments.

This is a hybrid position—work onsite Monday to Thursday, with the flexibility to work remotely on Fridays.

Key Responsibilities and Qualifications include, but are not limited to the following:

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, including consolidated statements that adhere to ASPE
  • Manage the annual audit process
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and development to Accounting Managers, Supervisors, and Payroll leadership
  • Facilitate annual budgeting and forecasting process, including timely monthly reporting of results to department leaders
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax requirements, and statutory filings across jurisdictions
  • Actively maintain profitability standards and financial goals for the company
  • Facilitate annual credit and insurance renewal, and ensure credit compliance
  • Manage ongoing cash flow and working capital
  • Lead and participate in strategic initiatives and projects identified by the executive team
  • Support executive leadership with financial analysis and strategic decision support

Qualifications

  • CPA designation or equivalent is required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, including at least 3 years in a management or leadership role with experience leading and developing multi‑level accounting teams
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to provide financial and analytical support to the decision-making process
  • Superior knowledge of complex accounting concepts, techniques, and principles
  • Previous experience with a Microsoft ERP system is an asset
  • Experience in a manufacturing, consumer products, or retail environment is an asset

Compensation: $140,000 – $170,000 annually, commensurate with experience
