Position Overview:
The CNAI works under the direct supervision of a registered nurse (RN). The employee administers direct patient care services within the CNAI scope of practice as governed by the NC Board of Nursing. He or she also facilitates the work of the MD and RN. The CNAI assists patients with activities of daily living and provides basic nursing care to all ages of patients while following the policies and procedures of GHS. Position Highlights:
- Schedule:
- Starting Rate: $14.00 + per hour (commensurate with experience)
- Shift Differentials: $1.00 - $2.00 per hour (based on day and shift)

Key Responsibilities:
• Personal Hygiene, Infection Control, Dietary Care, Reporting findings to RN
Qualifications:
The employee must have a certification from a NC approved nursing assistant program as a Certified Nursing Assistant I (CNAI). He or she must be able to follow written or verbal instructions effectively. A current BLS card is required at the time of employment and must be maintained while employed in the ED at GHS.
