Job Description
Role Overview
Lightbridge Academy is seeking a caring, energetic, and dependable Part-Time Group Teacher to support the daily classroom experience for children in a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment. The Group Teacher will work collaboratively with lead teachers and staff to implement age-appropriate activities, encourage social and emotional development, and maintain classroom routines that support each child’s growth and learning.
Key Responsibilities
-Assist in planning and implementing daily classroom activities and lesson plans
-Support children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development
-Follow all health, safety, and school policies and procedures
-Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and administration
-Help manage classroom behavior using positive guidance techniques
-Assist with meal times, transitions, nap time, and daily routines
-Observe and report children’s progress or concerns to lead teachers or directors
Qualifications:
-High school diploma or equivalent required; Early childhood education coursework preferred
-Previous childcare, daycare, or classroom experience preferred
-Passion for working with young children and supporting early childhood development
-Strong communication and teamwork skills
-Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
-Reliable, patient, and professional demeanor
-CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain
