Job Description
Easton Select Group is seeking a customer-focused and dependable Retail Associate to support daily retail operations and deliver an exceptional in-store customer experience across our pool and backyard leisure retail locations. This role is responsible for assisting customers with product selection, maintaining store organization, supporting inventory activities, and helping ensure the retail environment remains clean, organized, and welcoming.
The Retail Associate works closely with Store Leadership, Operations, and Service teams to help customers find the right products and solutions to maintain safe, clean, and enjoyable pool environments. This position plays an important role in supporting customer satisfaction, store appearance, and daily operational success.
The ideal candidate is friendly, reliable, team-oriented, and eager to learn about pool products, water care, and retail operations.
Core ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service & Sales Support- Greet customers in a friendly, professional, and helpful manner
- Assist customers with product selection, pool care questions, and general retail inquiries
- Provide recommendations on pool chemicals, equipment, accessories, toys, and seasonal products
- Educate customers on basic pool maintenance and product usage as needed
- Promote store programs, seasonal promotions, and service offerings when appropriate
- Deliver excellent customer service and maintain a positive shopping experience
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems and process transactions accurately
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, returns, and exchanges responsibly
- Assist with opening and closing procedures as assigned
- Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked sales floors, checkout areas, and displays
- Support daily operational tasks to ensure efficient store functionality
- Receive, unpack, organize, and stock inventory shipments
- Ensure products are properly labeled, displayed, and merchandised according to company standards
- Monitor stock levels and communicate inventory needs or shortages to management
- Assist with cycle counts, inventory organization, and seasonal product setup
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized inventory and retail environment
- Work collaboratively with store managers, service teams, and fellow associates to support customer and operational needs
- Communicate customer feedback, operational concerns, and inventory needs to leadership
- Support a positive, team-oriented, and customer-focused work environment
- Assist with additional operational or retail responsibilities during peak seasonal periods
- Maintain professionalism during all customer and team interactions
- Follow company safety procedures related to retail operations and pool chemical handling
- Maintain awareness of safe storage and handling practices for pool chemicals and supplies
- Ensure retail and storage areas remain clean, organized, and compliant with company standards
- Support a safe environment for customers and employees at all times
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous customer service, retail, or sales experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive attitude and customer-service-oriented mindset
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible schedules during peak seasons
- Ability to lift and carry 25–50 lbs including pool products, chemicals, and supplies
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment
- Knowledge of pool products, pool chemicals, or outdoor living products preferred
- Experience operating POS systems and handling retail transactions preferred
- Interest in learning pool water chemistry and product applications preferred
- Experience within seasonal retail or service-based industries is a plus
