Senior Project Manager (Sr. PM)
Reports To: Director of Project Management
Department: Project Management
Location: Office-Based
FLSA Status: Exempt
Salary Range: $120,000 – $130,000 + 8–12% Bonus
Position Type: Full-Time
Position Summary
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role manages client relationships, project financials, schedules, and cross-functional coordination to ensure successful delivery. The Sr. PM also provides leadership to the project team and supports continuous improvement across the organization.
Primary Responsibilities
Project Management
- Lead project execution from handoff through closeout
- Serve as the primary client contact and manage communication throughout the project
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and key milestones
- Manage contracts, scope, and project documentation
- Track budgets, cost projections, and WIP reporting
- Manage RFIs, change orders, and related documentation
- Oversee submittals (shop drawings, samples, mock-ups, transmittals)
- Coordinate with internal teams and vendors on production and delivery
- Identify and resolve project risks, delays, and scope issues
- Coordinate labor planning with field leadership
- Ensure project safety requirements are met and escalate concerns as needed
- Maintain organized and up-to-date project documentation
Procurement & Production
- Create work orders and communicate scope using internal systems
- Track and maintain critical production and delivery dates
- Coordinate RFQs, vendor pricing, and procurement activities
- Partner with purchasing on pricing and lead times
- Lead production and procurement kickoff meetings
- Monitor product progress through fabrication, vendors, and delivery
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and support project team members
- Provide direction, accountability, and coaching
- Support vendor development and evaluation
- Contribute to process improvements, tools, and best practices
Required Qualifications
- Experience in architectural millwork or commercial construction
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or equivalent experience
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and shop drawings
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Strong communication and client management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management systems
- Leadership and problem-solving skills
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Office-based with regular travel to job sites
- Ability to work extended hours as needed
- Prolonged periods sitting and working on a computer
- Ability to lift up to 15 lbs occasionally
