In this role, you will oversee DevOps, IT operations, and cybersecurity strategy while driving operational excellence across the organization. You’ll collaborate closely with executive leadership and engineering teams to modernize infrastructure, optimize cloud operations, and strengthen compliance and risk management practices. The position combines hands-on technical expertise with strategic leadership, offering the chance to shape systems, processes, and culture at scale. Ideal candidates thrive in fast-paced environments, enjoy mentoring high-performing teams, and are energized by solving complex technical and operational challenges. This role also provides the opportunity to contribute to a mission-driven organization focused on innovation and improving access to affordable housing solutions through technology.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead and scale the DevOps, IT, and Security functions, fostering a culture focused on operational excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Define and execute strategic roadmaps aligned with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and long-term technology priorities.
  • Oversee cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, observability tooling, and infrastructure-as-code practices to ensure scalability, reliability, and developer efficiency.
  • Drive implementation of secure-by-design practices, compliance initiatives, risk management programs, and vulnerability management strategies.
  • Ensure business continuity through high availability architecture, disaster recovery planning, and proactive system monitoring.
  • Direct IT operations including end-user support, SaaS administration, automation initiatives, and internal systems management.
  • Partner cross-functionally with leadership, engineering, and operations teams to align infrastructure, security, and IT strategies with organizational goals.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs related to infrastructure uptime, incident response, security posture, and operational performance.
  • Mentor and develop technical leaders and contributors while supporting hiring, performance management, and organizational growth initiatives.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience in DevOps, IT, and/or Security roles, including leadership experience at director level or above.
  • Proven success leading and scaling multi-functional technical teams across infrastructure, IT operations, and cybersecurity.
  • Deep expertise in AWS cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, observability tools, and infrastructure-as-code methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of security frameworks, compliance standards, governance practices, and enterprise risk management.
  • Experience operating in highly regulated industries such as fintech, healthcare, or similar environments is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex technical ecosystems and lead strategic initiatives autonomously from concept to execution.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Strong people leadership capabilities with experience mentoring teams, developing talent, and driving high-performance cultures.
  • Comfortable working in remote-first organizations and collaborating across distributed teams.
Benefits:
  • Competitive salary with bonus opportunities and equity participation.
  • Fully remote work environment with flexible work-from-home arrangements.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, life, STD, and LTD insurance coverage.
  • Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) for medical and dependent care expenses.
  • Generous paid time off and paid parental leave programs.
  • Access to wellness resources including mental health, fitness, and financial wellbeing platforms.
  • Training, licensing, and professional development support.
  • Retirement and long-term financial wellness benefits.
  • Collaborative remote culture with dedicated focus time initiatives and strong internal community engagement.
  • Opportunity to contribute to a mission-driven company focused on improving housing accessibility through technology innovation.
