Schedule: Thursday, Friday & Saturday | 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Position Summary

The Night Auditor is responsible for overseeing front desk operations during the overnight shift, completing the daily audit process, and ensuring the safety, security, and satisfaction of all guests. This position requires strong attention to detail, integrity, and the ability to work independently while upholding brand standards.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Perform nightly audit procedures, including balancing reports, reconciling accounts, and closing out the day in the property management system (PMS).

  • Check guests in and out efficiently and accurately.

  • Review reservations, adjust balances, and ensure billing accuracy according to brand standards.

  • Maintain confidentiality of all business functions including financial information, guest data, and employee matters.

  • Ensure the safety and security of guests, team members, and hotel assets during the overnight shift.

  • Maintain knowledge of the fire alarm system and evacuation procedures.

  • Handle guest requests, concerns, and emergency situations professionally and calmly.

  • Communicate effectively with other departments and document shift activity clearly for the next business day.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work area, uniform, and personal appearance.

Qualifications & Skills
  • Ability to work independently overnight and handle pressure situations appropriately.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Organized, honest, dependable, and able to work well with others.

  • Ability to work with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds.

  • Must be able to report to scheduled shifts and maintain consistent attendance.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and work for an 8-hour shift in a restrictive environment.

  • Ability to bend, reach, kneel, push, stretch, and lift/carry up to 25 pounds.

  • Must have near and far vision capability.

  • Ability to use arms and hands for extended periods, including finger dexterity to operate computers and office equipment.

  • Must speak clearly, hear at a basic level, understand English, and write effectively to communicate guest and shift needs.
