About This Position
Join our dynamic Podiatry team at Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital (NVRH) as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA). In this role, you will support our provider in delivering both primary and surgical podiatric care to approximately 10–35 patients per day. About the Role
As a CMA in our Podiatry practice, you’ll work closely with skilled providers and healthcare professionals to ensure an efficient, warm, and safe patient experience. You will:
- Support patient care by greeting patients, managing check-in and flow, collecting health histories, and accurately recording vital signs in the EHR.
- Assist providers during in-office podiatric procedures and minor surgical interventions; manage sterile instruments, equipment setup/breakdown, and maintain clean clinical spaces.
- Perform delegated clinical tasks such as dressing changes, suture removal, POCT, injections, and other scope-appropriate procedures while adhering to aseptic technique.
- Handle administrative duties including phone support, scheduling, EHR task management, prescription refill processing, surgical coordination, and maintaining HIPAA-compliant confidentiality.
What You Bring
- Current active CMA, CCMA, or RMA certification
- Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong multitasking skills and comfort working with patients under stress
- Experience in medical terminology, EHR systems, and clinical workflows
- Prior medical office or hospital experience preferred
