Manager, Reimbursement at Childrens Hospital of The King's Daughters – Norfolk, Virginia

Manages all reimbursement reporting and accounting including summarizing, analyzing and interpreting financial information.

Prepares monthly and year-end closing entries for the revenue cycle including patient receivables and contractual reserves.

Keeps abreast of legislative changes in healthcare reform at the federal and state level, assessing and quantifying the impacts on the organization, and educating the organization as to upcoming changes.

Performs other duties as assigned.

CPA designation required.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or closely related discipline.

Seven to ten years of progressively more responsible reimbursement and/or relevant experience preferred.

Must possess strong critical thinking, analytical and organizational skills necessary to summarize and interpret financial information from a variety of sources.

Ability to communicate complex technical information effectively in a very dynamic working environment.

Strong knowledge of mainframe and PC based systems.

Must be proficient in advanced Microsoft Excel.

Normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature and the like.
