About the Role:

The Maintenance position is critical to ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of facilities and equipment within the organization. The primary goal of this role is to perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and timely repairs to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of machinery and infrastructure. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying potential issues before they escalate, thereby supporting a safe and productive work environment. The Maintenance professional will collaborate closely with other departments to prioritize maintenance tasks and respond promptly to urgent repair needs. Ultimately, this position contributes significantly to operational continuity and cost savings by maintaining high standards of equipment reliability and facility upkeep.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in maintenance work, including mechanical, electrical, or plumbing systems.
  • Basic knowledge of tools, equipment, and safety procedures related to maintenance tasks.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical certification or vocational training in maintenance, HVAC, electrical, or related fields.
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations and workplace safety standards.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular inspections of machinery, equipment, and building systems to identify maintenance needs.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks such as lubrication, adjustments, and replacements to prevent equipment failure.
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues and execute timely repairs to restore functionality.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, parts used, and time spent on repairs.
  • Collaborate with team members and management to schedule maintenance activities with minimal disruption to operations.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all maintenance procedures.
  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests to minimize operational downtime.

Skills:

The required skills enable the Maintenance professional to effectively perform inspections, diagnose issues, and carry out repairs using appropriate tools and techniques. Proficiency in reading technical documents ensures accurate understanding of equipment specifications and maintenance procedures. Safety awareness is critical to prevent accidents and maintain compliance with regulations during all tasks. Preferred skills such as experience with CMMS enhance the ability to track maintenance activities and optimize scheduling.
