Electrician at ELMET TECHNOLOGIES LLC – Euclid, Ohio

POSITION SUMMARY
This person will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of all plant electrical and mechanical equipment. Additionally, this person will assist in the repair, replacement, and installation of production equipment to ensure maximum throughput across all production operations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES
• Maintain all plant electrical equipment and ensure production equipment is in proper working order
• Install new plant equipment, test functionality, and assist in determining if equipment is properly and safely engineered
• Review and update electrical systems for improved efficiency and compliance with current codes
• Design and modify electrical circuitry as needed
• Order and maintain inventory of electrical parts and materials for maintenance and future projects
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks as required
• Respond quickly and effectively to emergency situations to minimize downtime

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS
• High School diploma or GED required
• Five to seven years of maintenance experience in an industrial environment
• Expertise with PLC controls required
• Electrical and electronic training, schooling, and hands-on experience required
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic)
• Excellent understanding of industrial safety practices
• Familiarity with industrial and electrical codes and regulations

PHYSICAL DEMANDS and WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Must have 20/20 correctible vision
• Routinely communicates face-to-face
• Routinely performs duties in both office and production floor environments
• Must be able to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
• Must be able to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods of time or for an entire work shift
• Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
