Welder at Evolution Driveline – Algona, Iowa

Summary:

The primary function of this position is to Weld, Fabricate and re-work cases and housings. You will also be responsible for helping Drivetrain Technicians with Daily welding and Fabricating needs.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Get direction from shop leads on priority of work.
• Perform re-work functions as described by Shop leads.
• Ability to weld Aluminum, Cast Iron, and Magnesium.

Work with Machinists on projects that require welding.

• Ensure the finished Weld is in good working order and cosmetically up to standards.
• Inform maintenance when machinery breakdown occurs.
• Maintain a clean and safe work space.
• Other tasks as directed.
• Will conduct these responsibilities in a professional and timely manner.
• Able to work well with others.
• Always wear Proper PPE.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Basic automotive and mechanical skills.
• Experience using basic power tools.

Capable of using Plasma cutter and Torch.

• Ability to weld MiG/TIG and wire feed.

Knowledge and Personal Attributes:

• Able to work independently.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Attention to Detail.
