The Patient Safety Assistant is responsible for providing direct supervision and companionship to patients as a safety measure to prevent suicidal, behavioral, and medical patients from harming themselves.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

•Must be able to communicate effectively with staff and an assigned patient.

•Must demonstrate calm, pleasant demeanor

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

High School Diploma or G.E.D. CNA Certification REQUIRED LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS:

•PREFERRED CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT, PATIENT CARE TECHNICIAN, OR RELATED HEALTHCARE EXPERIENCE

•BLS

•CPI

•Minimum 1 year acute hospital /healthcare setting experience.

•Must be able to complete a training module prior to first assignment.
