Upper School Social Studies Teacher at Community School of Naples Inc – Naples, Florida

Community School of Naples (CSN), an independent college preparatory school, is currently seeking a talented, collaborative and inspiring Upper School Social Studies teacher to start on August 10, 2026.

Teaching responsibilities will focus on a variety of high school history courses, with possibilities to include AP Economics and various other Social Science courses.

This full-time position would teach five classes a day with an average class size of 14-16 students. Experience coaching history clubs like Model UN, Harvard Model Congress, and/or Mock Trial is helpful, since most history teachers are expected to coach a competitive team.

CSN is one of the top independent schools in southwest Florida and maintains a PK3-12 school enrollment of over 1000 students. Compensation and Benefits

This appointment is for the 2026/2027 academic year starting with orientation on August 10, 2026, and is paid on an annual salary commensurate with experience, degree attainment, and qualifications. • A Bachelor’s degree in history or social science is required; Master’s preferred.
• At least three years of teaching history at the high school level.
• To support our Global Scholars and AP Capstone initiatives, experience in teaching the skills of research and analytical writing is preferred.
• Prior independent school experience is preferred.
• Possess highly effective communication and interpersonal skills to handle conversations with students, parents, and colleagues with tact, diplomacy and grace.
• Ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative, high-stakes environment.
• Commitment to participating in professional organizations, conferences, subject-related competitions, etc.
