Patent Attorney
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Patent Attorney at Patlytics. The Patent Attorney will be responsible for driving the success of our AI product within the patent markets. You will be responsible for growing relationships with law firms and other enterprise clients, finding customer-market fit with our unique product, and developing/presenting solutions for patent applications, patent preparation, patent law, patentability, due diligence, and other day-to-day tasks. This role is located in New York, NY, with flexibility for some work from home. Your ability to articulate the value of Patlytics' products will help transform the new era of AI for patent professionals.

Patent Attorney

You will be responsible for growing relationships with law firms and other enterprise clients, finding customer-market fit with our unique product, and developing/presenting solutions for patent applications, patent preparation, patent law, patentability, due diligence, and other day-to-day tasks. This role is located in New York, NY, with flexibility for some work from home. Your ability to articulate the value of Patlytics' products will help transform the new era of AI for patent professionals.
You will:
- Grow and maintain relationships with law firms, patent attorneys, corporations, and other enterprise clients to promote adoption of our unique product
- Identify customer-market fit by understanding client needs and pain points, and tailor Patlytics' solutions to meet these requirements
- Develop and present innovative solutions for patent applications, patent preparation, patent law, patentability assessments, and due diligence tasks
- Conduct thorough patentability and clearance searches to support client initiatives
- Draft patent applications, amendments, responses to office actions, and other legal documents with precision and attention to detail
- Provide guidance on patent prosecution and litigation matters, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations
- Collaborate closely with the product development team to enhance the functionality and features of Patlytics' AI-driven tools
- Create compelling collateral and resources to support sales efforts, including whitepapers, case studies, and presentations
- Stay updated on industry trends, changes in patent laws, and emerging technologies to provide informed advice and recommendations
You have:
- Strong knowledge of patent law and practice
- Energized by the product development and sales driven culture. It is important to understand the value proposition of our solutions and creating collateral/resources to drive our success.
- Patent prosecution and litigation experience
- Ability to draft patent applications and amendments
- Experience conducting patentability and clearance searches
- Experience with due diligence for IP transactions
- Excellent research, analytical, and writing skills
Bonus:
- Software development experience is a plus
- J.D. and admitted to practice before the USPTO
- Experience working with artificial intelligence and machine learning is a plus
