RN Staff at Willis-Knighton Health System – Shreveport, Louisiana

Our WKP Post-Operative unit has highly experienced nurses who are willing to teach and mentor new team members. One benefit of working on this unit is the association with pleasant and competent nursing staff who are not only dedicated to patient care but to each other working as a team. Physicians often request their patients be admitted to this 30 bed med-surg unit. The care is consistent and reliable, a continuous example of quality care. Our staffing goal on this unit is six patients per nurse and support staff is available for strong continuity of care. ACLS is preferred but is not a prerequisite for employment. Our Career Institute offers this class and many others to our employees free of charge! A twelve-week orientation period with a preceptor will be provided for the new graduate. Experienced nurses interested in working on this unit will also be provided an orientation based on their experience and level of comfort.
