About This Position

Position Summary

The Marketing & Outreach Manager will serve as the primary connection between My Houston Surgeons (MHS), corporate leadership, external marketing agencies, and the marketing team. This individual will oversee all marketing and outreach initiatives, manage a team of marketing specialists, and drive strategic growth efforts. They will also act as a practice ambassador, developing referral relationships with breast surgeons, oncologists, radiologists, Allergist, PCP’s and women’s health providers in the Houston and Surrounding Areas.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing & Content Strategy

  • Develop, execute, and oversee engaging content creation efforts including photo, video, blog, and website content that educates and inspires patients considering breast reconstruction surgery.
  • Lead the management of MHS’s social media platforms, website updates, and digital marketing initiatives to increase engagement and patient outreach.
  • Collaborate with corporate marketing teams, external agencies, and internal marketing staff to align MHS’s brand with broader corporate strategies.
  • Oversee the creation of patient education materials, print and digital collateral, email campaigns, and physician referral resources.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and utilize analytics to track the effectiveness of marketing efforts.

Practice & Corporate Liaison

  • Act as MHS’s marketing representative, ensuring seamless communication between the practice, corporate leadership, and the marketing team.
  • Provide regular reporting on marketing performance, referral trends, and opportunities for patient growth.
  • Coordinate with advertising, PR, and digital marketing teams to enhance MHS’s visibility and patient engagement.

Referral & Community Outreach

  • Develop and strengthen relationships with breast surgeons, oncologists, radiologists, and other key referring providers to increase patient referrals.
  • Plan and conduct lunch-and-learns, networking meetings, and community events to educate referring providers on MHS’s expertise in breast reconstruction.
  • Represent MHS at breast cancer awareness events, patient support groups, and medical conferences to expand community engagement.
  • Track and analyze referral data to identify trends and new opportunities for partnership development.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Manage and mentor a team of marketing specialists, ensuring alignment with MHS’s marketing vision and strategic goals.
  • Provide guidance and feedback to team members, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee budget allocation and resource management to optimize marketing initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in healthcare marketing, business development, or related fields, preferably within plastic and reconstructive surgery, oncology, or women’s health.
  • Proven experience in managing marketing teams and developing successful marketing strategies.
  • Strong content creation skills, including video production, photography, and copywriting.
  • Experience managing social media, websites, and digital marketing campaigns.
  • Ability to cultivate and maintain strong professional relationships with referring providers and community partners.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with a strong ability to engage diverse audiences.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to travel locally as needed for referral-building and outreach efforts.
