This position is a paid, short-term work opportunity under the supervision of faculty and innovation leaders at Harrisburg University. The AI Fellowship is focused on supporting the development of curriculum and experiential content for a Generative AI workshop series designed for small businesses, educators, and nonprofit organizations. Fellows will contribute to curriculum planning, content development, and the design of hands-on learning activities and assessments.
This opportunity gives Harrisburg University students real-world experience in instructional design, technology integration, and collaborative content development for adult learners—skills that are highly transferable to careers in education, consulting, technology, and training development.
Duties/Responsibilities:- Collaborate with faculty and innovation leads to co-develop curriculum content for Generative AI workshops
- Assist in designing learning modules, case studies, hands-on activities, and simple assessments
- Research use cases of Generative AI relevant to small business, education, and nonprofit sectors
- Review and synthesize publicly available tools, frameworks, and case examples for possible inclusion in the workshop
- Help test and refine instructional materials through peer feedback and trial runs
- Contribute to documentation, slide decks, or handouts as needed
- Support behind-the-scenes coordination of any live or recorded workshop components
- Participate in weekly check-ins to review progress and share insights
- Display professionalism, creativity, and a collaborative mindset in all aspects of the role.
Academic Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in any undergraduate program at Harrisburg University
- GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred
- Strong interest in AI, instructional design, technology, or education
- Coursework or project experience with Generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, DALL·E, etc.) is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to manage tasks independently
- Curiosity and creativity in exploring new tools and explaining them to others
- Ability to translate technical ideas into accessible learning materials
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, team-based environments
