Job Description

Summary

The Cleaner is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and quality of various parts using a range of methods and equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cleaning procedures for different materials and components, contributing to our commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and quality.

Essential Functions

  1. Perform cleaning of various parts using appropriate methods and equipment, including ultrasonic cleaners, solvent baths, bonded abrasives/grinding wheels, coated abrasives/flap discs, and manual cleaning techniques.
  2. Ensure that all parts are free from oils, greases, dirt, metal shavings, and other contaminants.
  3. Follow detailed cleaning procedures for different types of materials and parts to maintain quality standards..
  4. Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.
  5. Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area and cleaning equipment.
  6. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  2. Minimum of 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  1. Familiarity with various cleaning methods and equipment, including ultrasonic cleaners, solvent baths, bonded abrasives/grinding wheels, coated abrasives/flap discs, and manual techniques.
  2. Must be detail oriented and reliable.
  3. Ability to work effectively and cooperatively both independently and as part of a team.
  4. Ability to multi-task and prioritize appropriately.
  5. Ability to use time productively with minimal supervision.
  6. Must possess commitment to safety rules and regulations.

Physical Demands

  1. Ability stand, sit, walk and bend as needed for extended periods of time.
  2. Ability to maneuver heavy work pieces with the assistance of lifting aids.
  3. Ability to climb ladders and reach overhead regularly.
