Job Description

Customer Service Representative (CSR)

Summary

The Customer Service Representative position is responsible for the customer’s experience while doing business with Leaf Landscape Supply. Through direct interaction with the customer, along with clear communication across other Operational Departments, these Representatives maintain the highest level of quality in Product, Service, and Environment for our company.

Description

  • Serve as the “Concierge for Service,” for all customer calling, and physically present in the nursery
  • React to incoming phone inquiries in 3 rings or less
  • Complete Point of Sale transactions accurately, in accordance with the Operating Procedure Manuals for walk in, will call, and delivery orders
  • Collect, and maintain, appropriate customer information critical to communication
  • Maintain accurate cash drawer reconcile prior to, and following, daily transactions.
  • Provide a personalized customer experience for all will call and walk in customers transactions
  • Present the highest quality Customer Service Environment by creating and maintaining merchandising displays and signage.
  • Provie a clean and inviting customer service area to maintain the highest quality Customer Service Environment inside the office, as well as outside, in high traffic areas.
  • Communicate with other Operational Departments, as specified by Operating Procedures Manuals, to provide the highest, and most efficient, level of customer service.
  • Assist other departments with product maintenance, and additional aspects of service, where possible
  • Maintain high inventory quality through daily culling activities.

Key Qualifications

  • Bilingual (required)
  • Plant identification and knowledge
  • Strong Teamworking skills
  • Experience working in a nursery, or associated plant industry
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Customer Service experience
  • Strong Time Management
  • Thorough understanding of point of sale / inventory management systems and Microsoft Office programs
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds

Education & Experience

  • Texas certified Nursery Professional Certification required (may obtain post-employment)
  • Basic knowledge of POS systems (point of sale)
