HOSPICE OPERATIONS SUPPORT TECHNICIAN

Job Description:
- Assist in performing receptionist duties.
- Assist in managing incoming and outgoing mail.
- Process and enter daily reports of visits, flow notes, and medical supplies.
- Establish and maintain client medical records in accordance with agency policy and procedure.
- Order, receive, and stock medical supplies and maintain inventory control in accordance with established agency policy and procedure.
- Assist in performing cross-training.
- Implement infection and exposure control measures in accordance with the agency exposure control plan.
- Perform miscellaneous clerical functions in an accurate and timely manner.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Two (2) years of general office experience and data entry experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and knowledge of telephone etiquette.
- Ability to communicate clearly, using good grammar.
- Strong computer skills to include working knowledge of most commonly use software programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.).
- Ability to type 45 to 50 WPM and proficiency with a 10-key calculator.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to read and interpret policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Strong knowledge in medical terminology.
