About This Position

You will provide quality instruction pertinent to the applicable area, as well as provide extensive knowledge of cooperative learning strategies, differentiation, and small group instruction.
You will work with diverse populations.
You will maintain a strong classroom presence and develop daily, and unit lesson plans that are thoughtful, goal-oriented, and aligned with the curriculum and the AZ State Standards.
You will master the necessary content knowledge and skills to successfully teach assigned content area(s) and grade level(s)

You are able to maintain a positive attitude and build positive and appropriate relationships with students
You are excellent at communicating with students, parents and staff
You are collaborative and can work with colleagues to create and implement interdisciplinary standard-base project learning
You are interested in growth as a professional educator and excited about participating in ongoing professional development and learning
You are organized and detail oriented to be able to maintain accurate student records including progress reports and report cards.
- Bachelor or Masters degree in education or content area required
- Arizona Teaching certification required
- Comprehensive knowledge of the AZ Standards
- Must possess a valid Class 1 or Class 2 Fingerprint Clearance Card issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety
- Willingness to collaborate with colleagues in planning for academic improvement in academic areas other than your own, as needed
- Willingness to teach multiple grades and subject levels
- Willingness to differentiate instruction
- Willingness to oversee/ advise extracurricular activities (student clubs, intramural sports, music instruction, etc.)
- Willingness to work with students before or after school to support their academic growth
- Experience utilizing community experts and community resources to enhance content instruction preferred
- Experience building student and parent relationships to improve student achievement
- Experience working with an underserved student population
