Ideally, we are seeking a competent statistician who has developed an AI model to replace a physics-based algorithm, resulting in an order of magnitude improvement in computational efficiency while maintaining equivalent accuracy
Responsibilities:Build and deploy machine learning models to replace traditional algorithms, achieving significant performance improvements while maintaining accuracy.
Create regression models to predict the trajectories and behaviours of space objects, considering various dynamic factors.
Develop and implement statistics-based algorithms to enhance the accuracy and quality of existing algorithms.
Develop robust evaluation frameworks to assess the performance of classification and regression models, continually iterating on algorithms to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate machine learning solutions into our Space-MAP™ platform, ensuring seamless compatibility with existing systems.
Master's or advanced degree in AI/ML, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
Proficiency in basic descriptive statistics, hypothesis testing, feature transformation, dimensionality reduction, supervised or unsupervised learning, model tuning, and validation.
Knowledge of data structures and various machine learning techniques. Familiarity with deep learning networks and other numerical algorithms.
At least 2 years of experience in developing machine learning models for classification and regression in a professional setting.
Hands-on experience with Python packages for AI/ML.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, with experience in relevant libraries and frameworks.
Experience with parallel programming and version control.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
