Sheet Metal Estimator / Project Manager at Certified Enameling Inc – Pomona, California

This dual-role position requires someone who can confidently prepare accurate estimates for custom sheet metal fabrication projects, and then lead those projects through execution—coordinating with clients, production, and vendors to ensure timelines, budgets, and specs are met.

You'll work closely with our sales, engineering, and production teams, playing a key role in both pre-sales estimating and post-award project execution.

Key Responsibilities
Estimating Duties
Review architectural drawings, specifications, and customer requirements for quoting.

Prepare accurate cost estimates for materials, labor, finishes, and subcontracted services.

Communicate with vendors and subcontractors for pricing and lead times.

Collaborate with sales team to finalize proposals and support bid submissions.

Project Management Duties
Serve as the main point of contact for awarded projects—managing communication between clients and internal teams.

Develop and manage project timelines, track materials, monitor production schedules, and coordinate with fabrication and finishing departments.

Ensure compliance with project specs, delivery dates, and budget constraints.

Address project changes, resolve issues, and maintain high client satisfaction throughout execution.

What You Bring
3+ years of experience in sheet metal estimating and/or project management.

Strong knowledge of fabrication processes (cutting, forming, welding, finishing) and construction documentation.

Proficiency in reading architectural/engineering drawings, with attention to detail.

Experience with estimating or project management software (e.g., Bluebeam, Excel, etc.).

Excellent communication and time management skills.

Ability to manage multiple jobs and pivot quickly as project demands evolve.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
