About This Position
Grinds edges off de-molded parts and inside of hulls—also cuts and drills necessary holes in hulls and decks.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Grind all de-molded parts properly (hulls, decks, small parts).
• Lift deck parts with the help of other employees and move to the cut & gear area.
• Keep the work area clean and orderly.
• Follow the instruction of the Manager/Supervisor/Lead
• Inspects all parts to be complete and up to quality standards.
• Any other duties as assigned by management.
• Must comply with all OSHA and safety procedures.
• Must be able to wear a respirator, goggles, and hearing protection.

Tools used in this occupation include but are not limited to:
• Personal Protective Equipment- Safety Glasses may need a half-mask, dust/mist respirator, and Tyvek protection suit.
• Hand Tools- Rollers, sanders, buffers, screwdrivers, drills, razor knife, and scissors.
• Working directly with fiberglass, resin, and gel coat.
• Be able to use small hand tools (grinder, scraper, razor knife, blower, diamond cutter, hole saws, etc.)
Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment where ambient air temperature can exceed outside air temperature.
• Must be able to bend at the waist and knees and stand for extended periods.
• Must be able to climb into and out of the interior of boats.
• Must be able to wear proper safety equipment as needed.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds when necessary.
• The ability to see details at close range.
• Be able to use and maintain small hand tools (grinder, scraper, razor knife, blower, etc.)
• This is a safety-sensitive position.
