This role will operate under Advanced Die Casting, LLC as a whole-owned subsidiary of Humanscale.


The Die Casting Technician ensures the efficient, high-quality production of metal parts by setting up molds, monitoring process parameters, and resolving operational issues in real time. Key responsibilities include coordinating machine operators, programming robots, performing routine maintenance and inspections, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain safety, quality, and continuous improvement standards.


  • Assemble and disassemble die casting machine molds in accordance with established procedures.
  • Coordinate machine operator activities to support efficient production flow.
  • Program and adjust robots, sprayers, and process parameters to ensure alignment with process sheets.
  • Monitor machine oil levels and ensure they remain within required operating ranges.
  • Inspect die casting mold cooling lines for blockages, leaks, or other issues during the injection process.
  • Clean molds and apply anti-rust coating as needed to maintain tooling condition.
  • Comply with occupational safety requirements and maintain 5S standards in the work area.
  • Train new operators on safe, efficient machine operation and die casting processes.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts to optimize efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Troubleshoot operational issues in real time to minimize downtime and maintain production continuity, reducing number of disruptions.
  • Complete machine check lists and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities for die casting injection machinery.
  • Collaborate with Quality, Tool Room, and Maintenance teams to ensure processes align and with overall production goals.
  • Conduct process audits in accordance with established control plans.
  • Support the Process Engineer with all new product start-up activities.
  • Review machine cycle times during each shift to ensure process efficiency.
  • Inspect injection and die-cutting parts to verify quality standards are met.
  • Verify documentation of the part number to ensure it matches the assigned machine.
  • Communicate with the previous shift leader to confirm machine status and operational priorities.

  • Technical career in machinery and tools.
  • Must have at least 2 years with Die Casting or Plastic Injection Processes.
  • Basic knowledge of die cutting equipment; proficiency in operating CNC equipment and reading digital manufacturing programs within a die casting environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of die casting forming tools.
  • Interpret and comprehend process readings from die casting equipment to monitor machine performance, ensure product quality, and identify operational anomalies.
  • Knowledge of measuring equipment.
  • Knowledge of units of measure.
  • Interpretation and understanding of visual aids.
  • Able to communicate proactively.
  • Able to adapt to change.
  • Assistance and punctuality - must be reliable and punctual; self-discipline.
  • Ability to prioritize and stay organized.
  • Capable of balancing team and individual responsibilities; able to foster a strong team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills including root cause identification and continuous improvement.
  • Possesses/develops knowledge regarding products, procedures, and policies. Understands critical issues affecting the organization.
  • Exhibits sound and accurate judgment.
  • Excellent follow-through skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure.
  • Lifting capacity of up to 30 lbs.
  • Prolonged standing and walking throughout the production area.
  • Frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, twisting, and working in awkward or non-ergonomic positions.
  • Repetitive movements involving hands, wrists, arms, and shoulders.
  • Manual pushing and pulling of carts, containers, and production materials.
  • Handling molds, dies, tooling, fixtures, machine components, and production materials.
  • Manual effort during mold changeovers, mold connections, tightening clamps, pistons, nuts, and related equipment.
  • Operation around overhead cranes and suspended loads during mold and die change activities.
  • Exposure to elevated temperatures associated with Die Casting operations.
  • Exposure to industrial noise.
  • Exposure to dust, oil mist, chemicals, and non-ionizing radiation.
  • Use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Use of cranes during mold changes and perform frequent crouching, bending, and repetitive movements while making mold connections.

COMPUTER SKILLS

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) to manage daily correspondence, draft documents, and track basic data.
  • Basic knowledge of process monitoring, production documentation, parameter review, audits, and production support activities.

Hourly Rate Range: $23.24-$33.91
