IGS is currently recruiting a remote Solutions Architect to support our work. Please note the role is contingent upon award.
Assignment of Work and Travel:
This is a remote access assignment. The Candidate will work remotely daily and will remotely access IGS systems and therein use approved IGS provided communications systems. Travel is not required; however, the candidate may be required to attend onsite client meetings as requested. Ideal candidates will be local to the Washington D.C. Metro area in the event onsite client meetings are required.
The Solutions Architect serves as a senior technical advisor responsible for designing, implementing, and governing enterprise accessibility solutions that support our customer’s Digital Accessibility Program. This role provides strategic leadership for Section 508 compliance, Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) conformance, accessibility monitoring, ICT remediation initiatives, accessibility testing services, process improvement, and digital transformation efforts.
Responsibilities and Duties (Included but not limited to):
- Develop and maintain enterprise accessibility architecture aligned with Section 508 requirements and WCAG 2.1/2.2 AA standards.
- Design scalable solutions that support digital accessibility objectives across websites, applications, documents, and digital services.
- Provide strategic recommendations for accessibility governance, compliance monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend accessibility-focused solutions that improve program effectiveness.
- Advise stakeholders on accessibility risks, compliance gaps, and remediation strategies.
- Support accessibility maturity assessments and strategic roadmap development.
- Provide architectural oversight for accessibility scanning and monitoring platforms.
- Lead design and optimization of automated accessibility testing processes.
- Collaborate with accessibility testing teams to validate scan findings and calibration methodologies.
- Design and improve customer-facing accessibility support services and workflows.
- Provide technical guidance regarding ICT testing, accessibility reviews, remediation approaches, and conformance requirements.
- Support development of accessibility knowledge bases, user guides, and technical guidance documents.
- Assist in establishing service delivery standards and operational processes.
- Develop data-driven approaches for measuring program effectiveness and compliance trends.
- Leverage analytics, AI/ML, and predictive modeling techniques to identify accessibility issues, service demand patterns, and improvement opportunities.
- Provide expert guidance on remediation strategies for web applications, software, electronic documents, multimedia, and other ICT products.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to program and project teams throughout the system development lifecycle.
- Facilitate discussions regarding accessibility strategies, priorities, risks, and enterprise initiatives.
- Present technical recommendations and solution roadmaps to executive leadership.

- 10+ years of IT architecture, systems engineering, enterprise architecture, or digital transformation experience; 5+ years supporting federal government programs.
- 5+ years of experience working with Section 508 compliance and digital accessibility programs.
- Demonstrated experience implementing enterprise accessibility solutions across websites, applications, and digital content.
- Experience supporting large-scale federal organizations and multi-stakeholder environments.
- Strong knowledge of: Section 508 requirements; WCAG 2.1/2.2 AA standards, Accessibility testing methodologies, ICT accessibility remediation, Accessibility conformance reporting, Accessibility governance frameworks
- Experience with automated accessibility testing and scanning tools.
- Experience developing dashboards, KPIs, and performance metrics.
- Knowledge of cloud-based architectures and modern digital service delivery models.
- Enterprise architecture and solution design; Strategic planning and roadmap development.
- Strong communication and facilitation skills.
- Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship

Compensation: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary, including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
