JOB SUMMARY: As a Senior Accountant at Renova One, you will play a key role in the monthly close process, financial reporting, and supporting ongoing process improvements across a growing, multi-entity organization. This position is hands-on - ideal for someone who enjoys digging into the details of the general ledger, reconciling accounts, and ensuring financial accuracy while also helping to improve structure and efficiency as the company continues to expand. You will collaborate closely with the accounting team to maintain strong financial controls and deliver timely, accurate reporting that supports business decisions.
Requirements:RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
- Perform and oversee month-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and consistency
- Prepare and review balance sheet and income statement reconciliations to ensure data integrity
- Support consolidation of financial results across business units and assist with intercompany eliminations
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis in collaboration with the Controller and Finance team
- Monitor and improve accounting processes, identifying opportunities for greater efficiency and accuracy
- Assist in implementing new accounting systems, procedures, and controls to support company growth
- Support annual audits and coordinate with external auditors as needed
- Prepare ad hoc analyses, reports, and schedules for leadership and other departments as requested
- Collaborate with operations teams to ensure job cost reporting and financial data align with business performance
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- At least 4 years of progressive accounting experience, including hands-on general ledger responsibility
- Experience working in both public and private accounting environments preferred
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
- Experience with Sage Intacct or other ERP systems preferred
- Construction or multi-entity industry experience a plus
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a continuous improvement mindset
