Description:

The Recruitment Coordinator is responsible for managing the full recruitment cycle and implementing employee retention strategies to attract top talent and foster a positive work environment. This role is pivotal in ensuring the agency hires high-quality candidates and retains valuable employees, contributing to a stable and engaged workforce.

Talent Acquisition:

  • Partners with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develops recruitment strategies to attract top talent for open positions while prioritizing urgent needs.
  • Sources candidates through various channels, including job boards, social media, professional networks, and referrals, utilizing innovative sourcing techniques to build a pipeline of qualified candidates.
  • Screens resumes, conducts initial phone screens, and schedules interviews for hiring managers to assess qualifications, skills, and fit for specific roles and cultural fit with the organization; follows-up to determine candidate next steps.
  • Prepares interview materials and facilitates candidate assessments and evaluations.
  • Manages the candidate experience throughout the recruitment process, providing timely communication, superior customer service, feedback, and support to candidates and ensuring a positive and professional experience.
  • Collaborates with hiring managers and HR team in preparing job offers and initiating the onboarding process; may assist with new hire orientation, as needed.
  • Provides advice and guidance to hiring managers on interviewing techniques and best practices.

Staffing and Utilization Support:

  • Utilizes utilization and authorization reports to identify staffing gaps and consumer vacancies.
  • Coordinates with program leadership and scheduling teams to prioritize recruitment needs based on authorized services.
  • Tracks open positions tied to consumer authorizations and monitors progress toward filling vacancies.
  • Supports targeted recruitment efforts to ensure timely staffing meets consumer service needs.

Administrative and Systems Management:

  • Administers and maintains the applicant tracking system (ATS) to track candidates and streamline the recruitment process.
  • Performs administrative tasks including data entry, document management, and email correspondence.
  • Assists with completing candidate onboarding tasks and pre-employment documentation.
  • Ensures recruitment documentation is completed accurately and in compliance with organizational, state, federal, and accreditation requirements.

Recruitment Strategy and Succession Planning:

  • Works alongside with Director, Recruitment & Retention Specialist, and Human Resources and Training Manager to develop workforce stabilization plans and recruitment strategies, building sustainable talent pipelines, and maximizing community partnerships and vendor resources.
  • Recommends and tracks effectiveness of sign-on, referral and other incentive programs.
  • Participates in succession planning for leadership roles.

Outreach:

  • Establishes and maintains community relationships and partnerships; attends career fairs, networking events, and speaking engagements.
  • Speaks positively and promotes Sycamore Services as an “Employer of Choice”.

Employee Experience, Retention and Organizational Culture:

  • Serves as a partner and driving force in leading and advancing employee engagement, culture-building, values integration, recognition efforts, and workforce retention strategies.
  • Collaborates with Director, HR team and leaders in the planning and execution of employee events, development programs, and initiatives.
  • Conducts 30-day new hire “touch bases”.

General/Other:

  • Stays abreast on industry trends, best practices, and legal requirements related to recruitment and employment, and makes recommendations for continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Completes other duties and projects as assigned.
Requirements:

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of an Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred; HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP, Talent Acquisition Professional) preferred.
  • Previous experience as a recruiter or talent acquisition specialist required, with a proven track record of success in full-cycle recruitment.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in full-cycle recruitment or talent acquisition or customer facing role required, preferably in a corporate or non-profit setting.
  • Strong knowledge of recruitment strategies, techniques, and tools, including applicant tracking systems (ATS) (Paylocity, Workday, or similar platform preferred), social media recruiting, and candidate assessment methods.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and relationships with candidates, hiring managers, and employees.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.

  • Ability to interpret and utilize reports (including utilization and authorization reports) to support staffing decisions.
  • Data analysis skills.
  • Proficiency with basic office technology (Microsoft applications), including email, spreadsheets, and applicant tracking systems.
  • Comfort-ability with public speaking.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling sensitive information.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive working relationships across departments.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team.
  • Flexibility with adjusting work schedule to accommodate urgent business needs.

Travel Requirements:

Occasional travel between work locations and agency events/training/conferences is required. The employee must have the ability to travel by an approved means of transportation.

Work Environments and Physical Requirements:

The Recruitment Coordinator generally works within a remote and/or onsite office setting, occasional travel for events, training, career fairs. etc. may be required. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer and must be able to?lift up?to15 pounds at times. Must be able stand and move freely for extended periods of time.
