Description:

Shipping & Warehousing

Hansen & Company Woodworks · St. Joseph, MN · Full-Time

The Opportunity

The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for leading commercial casework and architectural millwork projects from field measure through installation and closeout. This role serves as the primary point of coordination across drafting, engineering, manufacturing, logistics, installation teams, and external partners to ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within scope, and aligned with HCo quality standards. The PM is a critical owner of execution, accountability, and communication — ensuring clarity, momentum, and issue resolution across all assigned projects. This role directly supports HCo's continued growth in both local and national markets.

HCo is a custom cabinet and architectural millwork manufacturer building the future of American manufacturing — our standard is simple: More than they Expect. This is a real seat at that table.

What You'll Do

  • Manage project schedules, milestones, and deliverables across multiple active jobs using Innergy ERP and other project tracking tools.
  • Spot risks, constraints, and scope changes early — and bring solutions and escalation paths, not just problems.
  • Keep projects moving with real momentum from kickoff through closeout.
  • Represent HCo at jobsite meetings and field coordination meetings.
  • Coordinate field measurements, installation schedules, and site logistics.
  • Resolve field conditions, discrepancies, and installation issues in real time.
  • Travel to jobsites as needed based on project scope — frequency varies by active project load.

What You Bring

  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple active projects at once.
  • Previous experience in project management, construction coordination, or a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with a manufacturing or casework/millwork ERP system; Innergy experience preferred.
  • Ability to read architectural drawings, shop drawings, submittals, and technical project documentation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across internal teams and external partners.
  • Comfortable resolving field conditions and discrepancies in real time.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Comfortable with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and project management software.
  • Valid driver's license.

Essential Functions — Physical & On-Site Requirements

This role combines office-based project work with regular time in the field. The following are fundamental to performing the job — not general fitness standards. If you have questions about your ability to meet any of these, reach out; we're glad to talk it through.

  • Regularly drive to and between active jobsites; a valid driver's license and the ability to travel independently are required.
  • Walk, stand, and move through active construction and installation sites — including uneven or unfinished flooring, stairs, and tight spaces — to conduct field measurements and inspections.
  • Read and interpret drawings and documentation both in an office setting and on-site, sometimes in outdoor or partially finished conditions.
  • Communicate clearly in person at jobsite and field coordination meetings, including with contractors, installers, and external partners.
  • Be physically present on assigned jobsites as required by project scope; travel frequency varies by active project load.
  • Sit or stand for extended periods while managing schedules, documentation, and ERP data from a desk or laptop.

Why HCo

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive pay based on experience. $90,000 - $100,000. Full benefits package: medical, life insurance, 401(k) with company match, Health Savings Account (HSA) with company match, and paid time off. Real advancement opportunity as HCo grows.
