Position Description:

Do you have a passion for safety, accountability, and supporting individuals in a structured treatment environment? We are seeking a Transportation Coordinator to join our team and play a vital role in ensuring the safe and secure transportation of individuals served to off-site appointments, evaluations, court appearances, and other assigned destinations. This position combines transportation, supervision, observation, and engagement to help ensure a safe and supportive experience for those in our care.

What You'll Do

• Safely transport individuals served to medical appointments, psychological consults, specialized treatment programs, court appearances, evaluations, and other assigned off-site destinations.

• Monitor the well-being, behavior, and overall environment of individuals served during transportation and off-site activities.

• Provide verbal guidance, support, de-escalation, and redirection to individuals served while maintaining a calm and therapeutic approach.

• Maintain awareness of environmental safety concerns and report issues related to vehicles, equipment, systems, and physical structures.

• Document transportation activities, incidents, observations, and other relevant information through accurate and timely reporting.

• Communicate routine changes, environmental updates, and activity information to individuals served to promote understanding and engagement.

• Provide supportive oversight during off-site visits, including medical appointments, court appearances, and external consultations.

• Collaborate with clinical, medical, and treatment team members during emergency situations to ensure safety and appropriate response.

• Respond appropriately to behavioral concerns, including disruptive behaviors, threats of self-harm, or other situations requiring intervention.

• Interact professionally with members of the public while representing the organization and maintaining the dignity of individuals served.

• Operate transportation vehicles safely and in compliance with all state and local traffic laws, regulations, and organizational policies.

What We're Looking For

Education

• High School diploma or equivalent (required).

Experience

• Previous experience transporting individuals in a hospital, behavioral health, correctional, residential treatment, or secure treatment setting is preferred.

• Experience working in environments focused on safety, supervision, and patient care is a plus.

Licenses & Certifications

• Valid driver's license with a verifiable favorable driving record (required).

• Ability to obtain and maintain all required client, contract, and organizational certifications and training.
