Job Title: Executive Chef / Director of Dietary ServicesMadison Park Healthcare – Huntington, WV Full-time Leadership Opportunity | CDM Certification Support Provided

Job Type: Full-time

Madison Park Healthcare is a beautiful, 5-star rated skilled nursing and assisted living community in Huntington, West Virginia, where residents truly “feel at home.” We are seeking a passionate, hands-on Executive Chef / Director of Dietary Services to lead our dietary department and elevate the dining experience for our residents.

This is a key leadership role with full oversight of food production, resident satisfaction, nutritional care, and sanitary compliance. You will work closely with our part-time Registered Dietitian while leading and developing the culinary team.

We are open to talented Executive Chefs who do not yet hold CDM certification. We will fully support the right candidate in completing CDM coursework and earning certification.

What You’ll Do
  • Provide strong leadership and daily oversight of all food production, meal service, and culinary operations for our 41-bed Skilled Nursing Facility and 9-bed Assisted Living community.
  • Create and maintain a resident-centered dining experience that emphasizes choice, enjoyment, and high satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the Registered Dietitian to ensure meals meet individual nutritional needs, therapeutic diets, texture modifications, and hydration requirements.
  • Maintain full compliance with CMS regulations, West Virginia state requirements, food safety standards (HACCP), sanitation protocols, and infection control.
  • Recruit, train, schedule, coach, and develop a high-performing dietary team — fostering accountability, teamwork, and professional growth.
  • Manage inventory, purchasing, food costs, and department operations while consistently meeting production deadlines and quality standards.
  • Keep the kitchen impeccably clean, organized, and safe; oversee equipment maintenance and staff adherence to all protocols.
  • Participate in quality improvement, resident council, and interdisciplinary care planning as needed.
  • Bring creativity and heart to the role — because great food is an important part of feeling at home.
Why Join Madison Park Healthcare?
  • Make a direct, visible impact every day — residents and families notice and appreciate excellent food and caring service.
  • Opportunity to shape and grow the dietary program in an intimate, relationship-focused community.
  • Professional development support, including full sponsorship of CDM coursework and exam.
  • Competitive compensation based on experience and qualifications, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
  • A supportive, team-oriented environment where your culinary talent and leadership truly matter.
  • Work in a beautiful setting surrounded by comfort, where staff and residents often describe the atmosphere as “feeling like home.”

If you are a talented chef who leads with both skill and heart — and you’re ready to bring your passion to a meaningful healthcare setting — we would love to hear from you.

To Apply: Please apply directly through this Indeed posting or submit your resume and a brief cover letter highlighting your culinary and leadership experience to careers@madisonparkhealthcare.com or via madisonparkhealthcare.com.

  • Strong leadership skills with demonstrated ability to develop staff, build positive team culture, and manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Solid knowledge of food safety and sanitation; ServSafe Manager certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
  • Experience with therapeutic diets, modified textures, and senior nutrition is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Genuine passion for serving seniors and creating meaningful dining experiences.
