Mando is experiencing rapid growth and has an immediate need for a Buyer - Steering at the Hogansville, GA location.

Responsible for all sourcing, purchasing and supply chain monitoring of all steering materials.

Key Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned as needed):

• Local sourcing
  • Searching potential suppliers
  • Collaborate with R&D
• Sourcing
  • RFQ, Quote analysis, Source selection
• Purchasing price management
  • Material cost management (BOM Level)
  • Supplier price increase request
• Engineering change management
  • Prototype, samples including tools
• Cost reduction
  • Value Analysis / Value engineering
  • Customer based CR initiatives
• Supply chain monitoring
  • Supplier financial and business trends
  • Supplier process
  • Supplier capacity
  • Issue control (Quality, Delivery, Legal, etc)
• Supplier pool management
  • Current supplier development
  • Potential supplier identification
• New program acquisition
  • Potential cost analysis & Preparing Development cost

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, mechanical, electronic engineering along with five (5) to eight (8) years of progressive experience in the supply chain field in a manufacturing environment preferably within the automotive industry, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in engineering or purchasing are preferred.
• Experience in 4M management.
• Long-term planning and strategy development.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge of supply chain and accounting processes and practices.
• Experience using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word. Especially Excel.
• Knowledge of APQP.
• Experience with SAP system preferred.
• Bilingual in Korean and English (Verbal & Written) preferred.

Legal Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years of age due to federal labor law requirements.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Supervisory Responsibility: None

Working Conditions:

• This position typically operates in an office environment. Occasional travel may be required for new supplier development and supply management.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer.

Remote Work: This position is not eligible for hybrid or remote work.
