About the RoleThe Housekeeping Supervisor supports the daily operations of the Housekeeping Department by helping ensure guest rooms and public areas are clean, well-maintained, and ready for guests.
This position is responsible for supervising housekeeping employees, coordinating daily work assignments, inspecting completed work, assisting with training, and helping maintain appropriate supplies and equipment. The Housekeeping Supervisor also helps address guest concerns and works closely with other departments to support smooth resort operations.
This role requires strong attention to detail, dependable leadership, and the ability to support employees in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Minimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent.
Previous housekeeping experience.
At least one year of supervisory or leadership experience.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including weekends and holidays.
Certification, education, or coursework in hospitality management or a related field.
Previous supervisory experience in a hotel, resort, or similar hospitality environment.
Experience with inventory management and scheduling systems.
Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of housekeeping employees.
Assign and prioritize guest rooms, public areas, and other cleaning responsibilities based on operational needs.
Conduct inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness and quality standards are met.
Provide direction, coaching, and support to housekeeping employees throughout the shift.
Assist with training new employees on cleaning procedures, safety requirements, equipment use, and guest service expectations.
Monitor housekeeping progress and adjust assignments as needed to support room readiness and operational priorities.
Assist with maintaining appropriate levels of cleaning supplies, linens, and equipment.
Report maintenance concerns, damaged equipment, and room issues to the appropriate department.
Respond to guest questions and housekeeping-related concerns promptly and professionally.
Support established safety, sanitation, and housekeeping procedures.
Assist with employee attendance, performance, and workplace concerns as directed by management.
Communicate staffing, room status, and operational concerns to Housekeeping leadership.
Promote teamwork, professionalism, and a positive work environment.
