Job Summary
The Supply Chain Engineer will analyze and improve supply chain processes and capacity using data, technology, and continuous improvement methodologies. This role will partner with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, develop solutions, improve performance, and support strategic supply chain initiatives across the organization
Responsibilities
- Assessment of DC Operations to identify optimization opportunities to improve flow, throughput, capacity, productivity, and OEE
- Establishing and document standards for supply chain facilities
- Development and updating of DC capacities in storage and processing
- Flow analysis
- Bottleneck analysis
- Cycle time analysis
- Time and motion studies
- Inventory slotting
- CAD drawing update and revisions
- Manage multiple projects from concept to execution
- Support the needs of the business for Operations Excellence
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent
- 3-5 years of Industrial engineering experience (Distribution or Fulfillment)
- Exposure to operations labor and capacity planning
- Experience working with productivity rates, labor savings analysis, engineering standards, and process improvement
- Experience in Distribution or Fulfillment facility operations
- Experience with Supply Chain systems, WMS, LMS, TMS, etc.
- Lean Six Sigma Certification
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suites (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
- Ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives
- Experience with Good to Person (GTP) warehouse automation and systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency with statistical analysis, engineering economics, simulation modeling, and advanced data and analytics
- Experience in Value Stream Mapping and Kaizen Events
- Experience leading operations labor and capacity planning
- Green Belt Certification or higher
- Project management experience
- Capital project justification and management
- Network Digital Twin and Simulation experience
- Experience with Google BigQuery (GBQ) or other cloud based data platforms
- Experience applying analytics to operations ,supply chain, distribution, inventory, or productivity

Can understand and perform typical tasks associated with receiving, put away, picking, and shipping product. Can identify and understand sources of loss across the end-to-end supply chain. Describes and improves basic logistical processes and subprocesses. Uses a variety of business process design tools and techniques. Examines, interprets, and explains workflow materials and documentation. Analyzes a process and associated business logic and offers recommendations based on analysis. Carries out business process design. Documents common obstacles and barriers for effective implementation.
Operational Excellence: Evaluates relevant industry practices from an operations perspective. Works to resolve obstacles to goals of several organizational functions. Advises others to carry out responsibilities based on understanding of key organizational functions. Designs awareness programs for multi- and cross-functional issues of the regulatory environment. Facilitates interrelationships between major functions and subfunctions. Recommends efficiencies in operational functions and One Best Way documentation wherever possible.
