Practice Supervisor, Norton Cancer Institute- Downtown Clinic, Days in Louisville, Kentucky at Norton Healthcare

The Practice Supervisor-HBC either provides day-to-day guidance/oversight to employees as well as assists with the operations of a Hospital Based Clinic (HBC). This includes, but is not limited to, maintaining staff schedules, completing any assigned administrative responsibilities and providing feedback to leaders regarding job performance and employee satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establishes the collaborative relationships necessary to coordinate and integrate both inter- and intra-office for patient care. Establishes and maintains effective external relationships to assist in the assessment of community needs and in staying abreast of significant developments in the field to ensure all patient care needs are met.

• Ensures ongoing allocation of staff, as evidenced by interviewing, hiring and evaluating performance for all staff positions.

• Works with the HR department to interview and hire prospective employees. Works with HR in regards to employee discipline/performance issues which may include separation of employment.

• Ensures that employees understand how they relate to the strategic direction of the corporation. Ensures that office meetings are held on a regular basis, as evidenced by meeting minutes. Communicates in meetings operational issues and process improvements to staff, as evidenced by documentation of meeting minutes.

• Maintains ongoing review/revision of practice operations for cost effectiveness and recommends strategies for improvement as evidenced by direct observation and/or documentation.
