This role offers the opportunity to manage and grow strategic retail partnerships within a fast-moving commerce environment. You will own relationships with established partners while helping new partners successfully launch and scale. The position combines account management, business analysis, strategic planning, project leadership, and commercial growth. You will work across functions to turn partner needs and business insights into practical, scalable initiatives. Strong stakeholder management and executive communication will be essential as you navigate complex priorities and tight deadlines. This is a high-impact role for a creative, analytical professional who thrives in ambiguity and enjoys building long-term partnerships.
- Manage the launch of new retail partners and build strong, productive relationships with existing partners, serving as a trusted point of contact throughout the partnership lifecycle.
- Develop a deep understanding of business operations, internal processes, functional strategies, competitive dynamics, and partner business models to identify opportunities and make informed recommendations.
- Create strategic plans that address partner needs and drive sustainable growth, working with cross-functional teams to translate priorities into clear execution plans.
- Lead new-partner launches across areas such as catalog setup, marketing and public relations, operations, and other activities required for a successful marketplace launch.
- Analyze large data sets to identify meaningful business insights, develop scalable growth strategies, and establish detailed recommendations for execution.
- Establish processes, reporting, and operating mechanisms that streamline team activities, improve visibility, and create additional value for retail partners.
- Develop strategies to help partners expand their business, while educating, collaborating, and problem-solving with stakeholders at multiple levels of their organizations.
- Bring 5–7 years of account management experience, with an MBA considered a plus but not required, and demonstrate the ability to manage complex partner relationships and business priorities.
- Have excellent communication skills, including the ability to distill complex issues into clear recommendations and present concise, structured materials to senior and executive-level stakeholders.
- Demonstrate strong analytical capabilities and experience working with large data sets to extract actionable business insights and inform strategic decisions.
- Possess strong stakeholder-management and project-management skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively across internal teams and external partners while managing multiple priorities.
- Be comfortable operating in ambiguous, rapidly evolving environments, using sound judgment and initiative to chart a course with limited direction.
- Bring a creative, structured, and solutions-oriented approach to problem solving, with the ability to manage time-sensitive projects and consistently deliver against commitments.
- Experience negotiating sophisticated retail, CPG, commerce, or similar partnerships to drive revenue is preferred, along with strong overall business acumen and an understanding of diverse partner business models.
- Competitive base compensation of CAD $158,000–$166,500 for successful candidates based in Canada.
- Eligibility for a new-hire equity grant as well as annual equity refresh grants.
- Flexible-first work arrangements, allowing employees to choose where they work while remaining connected through regular in-person events and collaboration.
- Remote eligibility for candidates in Ontario, Alberta, British Columbia, or Nova Scotia, reflecting the current Canadian hiring footprint.
- Access to a comprehensive benefits offering designed to support employees across different locations and stages of their careers.
- Opportunity to work on strategic retail partnerships with significant commercial impact and exposure to complex commerce and marketplace dynamics.
- A collaborative environment that values creativity, analytical thinking, ownership, and the ability to thrive in a rapidly evolving business landscape.
