Responsibilities
NORTON CHILDRENS NEONATOLOGY, affiliated with the UofL School of Medicine, and a part of Norton Childrens Medical Group, is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible and fellowship trained neonatologist. The practice is one of the largest neonatology groups in the country, with more than 40 neonatologists, as well as neonatal nurse practitioners, family nurse practitioners, pediatric hospitalists and other providers skilled at caring for newborns and babies with special conditions.
The neonatology program receives referrals from throughout Kentucky and Indiana at two neonatal intensive care units (NICUs), including one of the nations largest Level IV NICUs at Norton Childrens Hospital in downtown Louisville. Both NICUs combine elements of private practice with an academic model to foster collaborative relationships among neonatologists, providers, fellows, residents and trainees. Through various partnerships, outreach services also are provided at several Level II and Level III NICUs throughout the region.
