Description

Position Summary

The IT Technology Coordinator supports and optimizes the daily operations of the organization. This role requires a combination of excellent organizational skills, technical knowledge, and effective communication. This includes ensuring the efficient use of technology to meet operational and educational goals, troubleshooting technical issues, coordinating technology projects, and providing support to staff and users. This position also works collaboratively with the Pressley Ridge Information Technology Department for special projects as needed.

Responsibilities

  1. Support/Service Delivery
    1. Coordinates the allocation of technology resources (software, hardware, office equipment).
    2. Provides support for troubleshooting basic technical issues, either directly or by working with IT support.
    3. Assists with onboarding new hires by organizing tech setup and ensuring access to necessary systems and tools.
    4. Implements and manages systems for tracking issues, tasks, and milestones related to technology projects.
    5. Provides training and guidance to staff on the use of technology tools and systems.
    6. Provides support for TFCN and state applications/technology – Care Match, LMS, Global Protect VPN, IMPACT, CLASS, TARE, Health Passport, and Data Warehouse, etc.
    7. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor and/or director.
  2. Quality Improvement
    1. Assists with the integration of new technology into everyday operations.
    2. Assists in developing and improving office processes to enhance productivity and efficiency within the organization.
    3. Evaluates new technology tools and platforms to improve organizational performance.
    4. Coordinates procurement and ensure timely delivery of products and services.
  3. Communication
    1. Works closely with leadership, departments, and stakeholders to understand technology needs and support strategic objectives.
    2. Fosters collaboration across departments to improve technology usage and integration.
    3. Coordinates with Pressley Ridge, Texas Family Care Network, and state IT teams to address ongoing hardware/software needs.
    4. Works with other departments to ensure technology initiatives align with organizational goals.
    5. Helps manage relationships with technology vendors and suppliers.
  4. Supervision
    1. Receives supervision.
      1. Receives supervision from and actively communicate with supervisor on an ongoing basis throughout the week by phone, email, written message and when possible, in person regarding program matters.
  5. Leadership
    1. Promotes and demonstrates appropriate respect for cultural diversity among coworkers and all work-related contacts.
  6. Documentation
    1. Maintains and updates technology documentation, manuals, and troubleshooting guides.
    2. Reports expenses and provides supporting documentation.
    3. Adheres to deadlines for expense reports.
    4. Maintains inventory of technology assets and ensure timely procurement of required tools and devices.
    5. Develops and implements user support, including helpdesk services and user manuals.
  7. Risk Management and Safety
    1. Attends and participates in all required trainings.
    2. Completes online learning and policy acknowledgements by due date.
    3. Complies and adheres to the professional and ethical standards of conduct established in the organization.
  8. Professional Development
    1. Seeks to grow and develop own skills and bring knowledge back to the organization.

    Qualifications

    1. Education/Credentials/Licensure:
      1. Requires an associate’s degree from an accredited college or university. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
      2. Requires a valid state driver’s license and safe driving record. 
      3. Requires reliable transportation and current auto insurance.
    2. Experience:
      1. Requires one (1) year of experience in technology interactions or a similar role.
    3. Clearances:
      1. DPS
      2. DFPS
      3. FBI
      4. CBCU Eligibility Determination
      5. Child Abuse Clearances

    Working Conditions

    1. Physical Demands
      1. This position requires operating a keypad device 50% of the day and electronic/office equipment 50% of the day. Travel is required approximately 5 times per month along with travel by plane and works in weather conditions about 25% of the day. Fingers, thumbs, hands, wrists, elbows, legs and feet are all routinely used throughout the day. The lower and upper torso is used 75% of the day. Employee must meet minimum requirements for hearing, speech, and vision. Walking is required 10% of the day. Standing occurs 10% of the day. Sitting happens 80% of the day. Reaching above the shoulder as well as bending and twisting are performed 25% of the day. This function routinely lifts 15 pounds, 4 times per day. The maximum lift is 50 pounds, 1 time per day. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
    2. Mental Demands
      1. Seldomly needs to make quick decisions, handles a diversity of problems, and performs multiple tasks.
      2. Continually need to concentrate.
      3. Occasionally handles distractions that interfere.

      1. Environmental factors require this position in home and office. 
    4. Working Hours
      1. Traditional office hours with flexibility to meet department needs.
