Cardiac Imaging Manager in Steubenville, Ohio at Trinity Health System

GENERAL SUMMARY:

This job is responsible for planning, managing and evaluating the daily operations associated
with cardiac imaging services in accordance with professional standards, regulatory
requirements, and business objectives. Manager will focus on maximizing utilization of clinical
resources, patient safety and satisfaction, enhancing relationships with clinical providers,
achieving desired clinical outcomes and facilitating achievement of financial goals and business
objectives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Identifies opportunities to streamline current operations and implement approved procedural
  changes.
• Develops coordinated resources and standardization of patient care and staff education
• Manages cardiac imaging staff at multiple locations to ensure testing is completed timely and in a cost effective manner and develops benchmarking metrics to measure performance.
• Ensures all cardiac imaging sites comply with regulatory requirements and professional
  standards
• Participates in the development of strategies, initiatives, programs such as new services,
  standardization across the organization, and increasing market share.
• Prepares monthly staffing schedule and adjusts as needed for vacations, LOA, illnesses, etc.
• Computes timecards and records attendance
• Participates in personnel actions: interviewing, staff retention, motivation, performance
  appraisals, discipline, grievances, training, and work schedules. Maintains confidentiality.
• Performs occasional imaging as needed
• Schedules in monthly department meetings
• Participates on committees as assigned.
  

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• Bachelor’s degree in related field
• 5 years’ work experience in cardiac imaging
• 2 years supervisory experience
• Registration/certification as RVT, RDCS, or RCS
