Position Summary- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of basic tooling and fixture configuration and design
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and production set-up sheets
- Tool kitting experience (CNC / conventional)
- Excellent organizational skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Ability to utilize, report, and record data in an ERP system (ABAS)
- Ability to learn and interpret inspection checklists and required quality documentation
- Ability to learn the company's automated tooling acquisition system
- Fluent and effective in English written and verbal communication; bilingual in Spanish is a plus
- Receive, store, and issue tools
- Maintain and establish organization of the tool crib and tool locations, including visual inspection of tools
- Maintain inventory lists for tool holders, hardware, perishable tooling, and polish/deburr items
- Initiate or communicate the need to reorder tools and supplies as required
- Perform tool kitting, including inspection tools, bore gages, calipers, micrometers, snap gages, etc.
- Use Zoller presetting equipment for measuring and presetting CNC tools
- Manage maintenance sheets and update inspection set-up sheets per part/operation
- Provide forklift support as needed to move parts (WIP, quality clinic, etc.)
- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, procedure instructions, complex blueprints, and work order documents
- Recommend process improvements and provide feedback on training
- Participate in the cause and corrective action process
- Travel as necessary for training and/or production support
- Team-oriented and able to work well in a collaborative environment
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to work under pressure to meet schedules in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to work long hours and weekends as needed
- Ability to learn new processes, techniques, and measurement tools quickly
- Self-motivated with a strong safety mindset and a positive, “can-do” attitude
Physical Requirements
- Frequent use of hands and arms
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks
- Occasional lifting up to 20 pounds
- Strong visual acuity and depth perception
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with moderate noise levels
