This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a keen interest in interior design, a natural eye for detail, and a desire to help homebuyers bring their vision to life. Working closely with the Design Consultant, you will support the design selection process from start to finish, helping create an engaging and seamless experience for every homeowner.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Design Consultant with file preparation for new clients, including organizing client information and required documentation before appointments.
  • Prepare Design Centre meeting materials and coordinate appointment setup.
  • Prepare and organize final Design Centre packages.
  • Conduct Design Centre preview appointments for prospective homebuyers, showcasing standard finishes, upgrade opportunities, and personalization options available.
  • Create a welcoming and professional experience for homeowners and prospective buyers visiting the Design Centre.
  • Label, organize, and maintain Design Centre samples, displays, and supplier materials.
  • Document and communicate homeowner selection effectively to internal teams.
  • Manage incoming Design Centre inquiries and correspondence.
  • Prepare and process paperwork for inventory home files.
  • Coordinate sample requests, product updates, and communication with suppliers, trades, and internal departments as required.
  • Provide administrative support to the Design Consultant.
  • Support continuity of Design Centre operations by providing coverage and assistance during periods of increased workload or team absences.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years’ experience in coordination, administration, customer service, retail or residential design
  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in Interior Decorating, Interior Design, Business Administration, or a related discipline is preferred
  • Passion for excellence in customer service delivery
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, team-oriented environment
  • Self-starter with high degree of initiative, adaptability and flexibility
  • Time management, prioritization, multitasking and organizational skills
  • Effective problem solving, decision making, persuasion and conflict management skills
  • Professionalism, tact, courtesy and diplomacy skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to design centres, model homes, or construction sites, if required

Hours of Work

This is a 6-month, fixed-term, part-time position requiring 24–29 hours per week. This role is in-office, with no hybrid or remote work option.
