Accounts Payable Specialist in Columbus, Ohio at Delta Gamma Fraternity

This position is full-time, eligible for full benefits. Delta Gamma offers medical, dental, vision, 401K, paid life insurance and disability insurance, and generous PTO.

This Delta Gamma professional is responsible for responding to daily matters relating to payables and performing assigned duties in conformity with the Constitution and policies of Delta Gamma Fraternity.

Essential Functions:

• Reconcile monthly balance of Fixed Assets accounts to the Balance Sheet for designated regions.
• Monthly review and reconcile of balance sheet accounts (1500’s, 9990’s) for designated regions.
• Process Smart data and complete client receipt uploads and approve.
• Monthly upload of Smart data transactions to accounting system.
• Obtain and review payment approval from house corporations for all bills from designated regions.
• Process invoices and weekly payment runs.
• Manage recurring payments.
• Process monthly utility payments for designated regions.
• Respond to client and/or vendor calls and e-mails as received.
• Research projects as requested by clients or Housing Programs staff.
• Assist with annual audit preparation.
• Assist housing operations accountant with property tax returns and 990 tax returns.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Housing Operations and Housing Accountant.

• Bachelor’s degree and/or business classes preferred.
• Two or more years’ experience in accounts payables processing.
• Excellent verbal and written skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with both volunteers and employees.
• Ability to manage time and meet deadlines as directed.
• Knowledgeable of IRS regulations
• Proficiency in MS- Excel and Word
